(By Khalid Masood)
Introduction: From Coordinated Terror to Decisive Victory
On January 31, 2026, starting around 3:00 AM local time, Fitna al-Hindustan (FAH) terrorists—primarily the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA)—launched a brazen, multi-site offensive across Balochistan. Nearly a dozen coordinated attacks targeted police stations, paramilitary outposts, high-security prisons, civil administration buildings, and other installations in districts including Quetta, Nushki, Dalbandin, Kalat, Mastung, Gwadar, Pasni, Turbat, and more.
This assault was a desperate retaliation to prior successes: On January 29, our security forces neutralized 41 FAH and Fitna al-Khawarij (FAK) terrorists in intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Harnai (30 killed) and Panjgur (11 killed), recovering arms, ammunition, and cash looted from a December 2025 bank heist.
In response, Pakistan’s armed forces, Frontier Corps (FC), and Balochistan police acted with exceptional speed and precision. All major attacks were repelled or foiled. Official statements report 10 security personnel martyred (mostly police, with some injured) and at least 37–58 terrorists eliminated in immediate clashes and follow-up operations (some sources cite over 70 in the past 48 hours, totaling ~88–100 neutralized recently). Tragically, civilians—including a Baloch labor family in Gwadar—were also martyred, underscoring the terrorists’ anti-people brutality.
Pakistani Political and Military Leadership have lauded the forces for professionalism and for exposing FAH as Indian proxies intent on sabotaging CPEC, development, and national unity.
The Fitna al-Hindustan Proxy Network: India’s Hybrid Warfare Exposed
Pakistan’s designation of BLA and affiliates as Fitna al-Hindustan accurately frames the reality: These groups receive funding, training, and direction from external actors, primarily India, to fuel separatism under the guise of Baloch grievances. Evidence includes:
- Surrendered militants’ confessions.
- Recovered materials linking to RAW handlers.
- Patterns of attacks on CPEC infrastructure and Chinese interests.
- BLA’s own claims (e.g., “Operation Herof Phase Two”) often amplified in Indian media.
Balochistan’s underdevelopment is real, but FAH exploits it criminally—shifting from ideology to highway robberies, kidnappings, and high-impact terror. Over 95% of recent militant incidents concentrate in KP and Balochistan, with FAH escalating to coordinated, multi-district ops.
Our forces’ pre-emptive strikes (e.g., 41 killed on Jan 29, no Pakistani losses) demonstrate superior intelligence and operational edge. India’s proxy efforts fail because Pakistan’s resolve—rooted in national security doctrine like Azm-e-Istehkam—remains unyielding.
Detailed Timeline and District-Wise Breakdown
Attacks unfolded simultaneously with guns, grenades, RPGs, SVBIEDs, arson, and female operatives involved in some cases.
Key Reported Incidents:
- Quetta (provincial capital): Rockets targeted Red Zone, Civil Secretariat, Edhi Chowk (hospital windows shattered); arson on Sariab Road (2 LEAs martyred); police vehicle and roadblock attempts neutralized (several terrorists killed); helicopters/drones deployed; Red Zone sealed.
- Mastung: Police station stormed; prisoners forcibly released.
- Nushki: FC HQ raid repelled; SP Central Jail/CTD injured.
- Dalbandin: SVBIED on FC HQ foiled.
- Kalat: Attacks on police stations; records burned; banks targeted.
- Pasni/Gwadar: Coast Guards and workers’ colony hit; firefights ongoing in some areas.
- Other districts (Turbat, Tump, etc.): Explosions, gunfire, checkpost attacks thwarted.
Response: Rapid FC/police synergy, aerial support, internet/rail suspensions for operational security, trauma centers activated. Most assaults repelled within hours—testament to preparedness.

Security Forces’ Excellence: Sacrifice and Superiority
Our personnel exhibited unmatched tenacity: Precise intel prevented breaches, rapid reaction minimized damage, and follow-up ops eliminated threats. Martyrs (10 reported) are national heroes; their families receive full state support. This aligns with broader successes: Hundreds of terrorists neutralized in Balochistan over the past year. So far more than 78 terrorists have been eliminated by our security forces.
Strategic Implications and Lahore/Punjab Perspective
These attacks targeted CPEC lifelines (Gwadar, Pasni), aiming to deter investment and jobs. Failure exposes FAH’s weakness. Stability safeguards:
- Economic corridors for Punjab industries (textiles, IT via Gwadar).
- Power relief measures (e.g., Rs4/unit cuts for industries).
- National unity: From Lahore’s streets to Balochistan’s sands, we stand as one.
Geopolitically, this counters India’s hybrid tactics amid its own pressures.
Solid Recommendations: Path to Lasting Victory
To eradicate this threat and secure Balochistan’s future, I recommend the following actionable steps:
- Intensify Intelligence-Led Operations — Expand IBOs with enhanced tech (drones, surveillance) and inter-agency coordination. Target hideouts preemptively to prevent reprisals.
- Strengthen Border Management — Bolster fencing, surveillance along porous borders to disrupt external support flows. Collaborate regionally while maintaining sovereignty.
- Accelerate Socio-Economic Development — Fast-track Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan packages: Education, jobs, infrastructure for youth. Counter propaganda with visible progress (schools, hospitals, CPEC-linked employment).
- Counter-Propaganda and Narrative Control — Launch national campaigns exposing FAH’s foreign links via media, social platforms. Honor local Baloch contributions to forces and development.
- Support for Security Forces and Families — Increase welfare for martyrs’ families, training, and equipment. Public campaigns in Punjab/Lahore to foster donations/support.
- Diplomatic Pressure — Raise FAH evidence at UN/international forums; demand accountability from sponsors.
- Community Engagement — Empower local jirgas, elders for intelligence and reconciliation. Offer surrender/rehabilitation paths to disillusioned elements.
Implementing these will transform adversity into enduring peace.
Conclusion: Resilience Defines Our Destiny
January 31, 2026, was a test—FAH sought division; our forces delivered unity and victory. With 10 martyrs honored and dozens of terrorists eliminated, Pakistan stands stronger.
Honor the fallen. Support our forces. Reject propaganda. Balochistan thrives as Pakistan’s unbreakable frontier.
Long live Pakistan! 🇵🇰
